Two new actors join the Season 4 cast + Locke is returning for Season 4

As Season 4 filming gets well underway, we start to have another slue of casting announcements comes along the wire.

ImageElizabeth Webster is set to be cast as Walda Frey in the upcoming season. She is the the grand-daughter of Lord Walder Frey and is set to be the young new wife of Roose Bolton. She has acted in TV series such as the hit British TV Drama “Call The Midwife” and “The Bloody Mary Show”.

Another casting announcement is of Lu Corfied who will beImage playing a Mole’s Town madame in the new season. She is most notably known for playing Dr. Freya Wilson in the TV Drama “Doctors”. She has also acted in “The Woman in Black” voicing Jennet.

Interesting news also from over at, apparently Noah Taylor is indeed returning as Locke in season four but he is also going to be sent to the Wall along with the other Bolton bannermen who stood by while Jaime Lannisters hand was cleavered off. Interesting dynamic the show is introducing. I wonder what they are going to do with it. Comment below on what you think is likely to happen!


Tommen has been recast as Dean Charles Chapman

According to sources at, the actor playing Tomenn Bartheon has been replaced by Dean Charles Chapman.

15 year-old Dean has been in a few films of note in his acting career including in The White Queen, The Revolting World of Stanley Brown and also in the upcoming film Before I Go to Sleep. Dean has actually been in Game of thrones before, playing one of the two Lannister boys that Rickard Karstark gets axed for murdering.

It is an interesting turn of events, but likely most people watching the show will remember him at all considering he has been missing from the show for a season.

“Joseph Gatt” has been cast for the upcoming season of Game of Thrones

Joseph Gatt has been confirmed to be cast for a role in the upcoming season of “Game of Thrones”Joseph Gatt

It was announced on the website for the Actors agency, “Robert Kelly Associates“. It has been deleted since the leak has been discovered. The actor’s Facebook Page shows that he has just finished up filming in Iceland and he will be appearing in a total of four episodes in Season 4.

“Joeseph Gatt” has appeared in various film’s of repute including Star Trek into Darkness and hit TV series Banshee as The Albino

“Mace Tyrell” is cast as Roger Ashton-Griffiths


Earlier this week George R.R Martin confirmed on his livejournal “Not a blog” that Roger Ashton-Griffiths has been cast as “Mace Tyrell” in the upcoming season of a Game of Thrones. 

Mace Tyrell is the Lord of Highgarden and Warden of the South. He is father to “Loras Tyrell” and “Margaery Tyrell” and is the one of the most rich and powerful families, second only to House Lannister.

Roger has been in various TV Shows and films including “Gangs of New York“, “Torchwood” and “The Tudors” and is playing “Alfred Hitchcock”, in upcoming film “Grace of Monaco”

Casting News: Indira Varma cast as Ellaria Sand in Game of Thrones



Today, Entertainment Weekly has reported that Indira Varma is going to play the part Ellaria sand in the upcoming season of Game of thrones. Ellaria Sand is the Paramour of Prince Oberyn Martell and the mother of the four youngest Sand Snakes.

Indira should be familiar to those watching Game of thrones as she played the part of Niobe in HBO’s “Rome“. She is one of three “Rome” actors to join the cast as Ciarán Hinds (Mance Rayder) and Tobias Menzies (Edmure Tully) joined in the previous season. 

Indira has also appeared in other TV shows of note including Bones, Luther and Human Target.

Mark Gatiss hints at latest role in Game of Thrones

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter at Comic-Con, Mark Gatiss talks about his latest role in Game of thrones. He talks about about the numerous characters in the show and how difficult it is to remember all of their names. He also mentions that they have already finished filming him. He also gives some hints relating to his character in the upcoming season.

Here is partial transcript of the interview:

  • Interviewer: “Can you tell us anything about your character? Alot of people think you are going to be mace?”
  • Mark:”I can’t tell you anything, honestly. They will shoot me”
  • Interviewer: “Does your character involve swords?”
  • Mark: “Ohh…. *Hesitates* No, that would give too much away! *Smiles*”
  • Mark: …. “It does involve hair though!”
  • Interviewer: “So, you will have some strange colored wigs going on?”
  • Mark: “We’ll see, we’ll see… *Smiles*

Game of Thrones star “Natalie Dormer” gains the leading role in Film Adaptation

Natalie Dormer, known primarily as the actress who has played “Margaery Tyrell” in the last season of Game of Thrones, has won the the leading role in the film adaptation of the play “Posh” 


Natalie has said that this play is close to her heart as she was one of the first few people to see it in the Royal Court and is very excited to be taking part in the film

Sherlock actor “Mark Gatiss” takes Game of thrones roll

British actor and Screenwriter “Mark Gatiss” of Sherlock fame has accepted an acting roll in the upcoming season for Game of thrones.
