I know its a pretty depressing prospect for the ASOIAF fandom. I personally was hoping for an early 2015 release but it looks like that isn’t going to happen.

Jane Johnson is the UK Publisher for authors such as George R.R Martin, Robert Hobb, Joe Abercrombie and many more.

15 Minute Featurette to air on Febuary 9th on HBO before “True Detective”

HBO sent a message to concerning this:

Your readers may be interested to know that the 15-minute presentation GAME OF THRONES ICE AND FIRE: A FORESHADOWING will debut SUNDAY, FEB. 9 at 8:45 p.m. (ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, just before the debut of a new episode of “True Detective.” Offering a look back and a look forward to the fourth season of the hit HBO series, the show features clips from upcoming episodes, behind-the-scenes-footage, interviews with talent, and cast members’ answers to questions posed by fans.

This should be a nice treat. I wonder what they could be showing. I can never get enough of all the Behind-The-Scenes footage that they publish. Perhaps some new excerpts from Season 4 although we have gotten plenty of those already. Make sure to tune into HBO on Febuary 9th for 15 minutes of gold!

Amazon has begun accepting pre-orders for “A World of Ice and Fire”

You can now pre-order on Amazon The World of Ice and Fire: The Official History of Westeros and The World of A Game of Thrones written by George R.R. Martin, Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson which is due to be released October 28th 2014.

This lavishly illustrated volume is a comprehensive history of the Seven Kingdoms, providing vividly constructed accounts of the epic battles, bitter rivalries, and daring rebellions that lead to the events of A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO’s Game of Thrones. In a collaboration that’s been years in the making, Martin has teamed with Elio M. García, Jr., and Linda Antonsson, the founders of the renowned fan site—perhaps the only people who know this world almost as well as its visionary creator.

Collected here is all the accumulated knowledge, scholarly speculation, and inherited folk tales of maesters and septons, maegi and singers. It is a chronicle which stretches from the Dawn Age to the Age of Heroes; from the Coming of the First Men to the arrival of Aegon the Conqueror; from Aegon’s establishment of the Iron Throne to Robert’s Rebellion and the fall of the Mad King, Aerys II Targaryen, which has set into motion the “present-day” struggles of the Starks, Lannisters, Baratheons, and Targaryens. The definitive companion piece to George R. R. Martin’s dazzlingly conceived universe, The World of Ice and Fire is indeed proof that the pen is mightier than a storm of swords.

Michael Huisman to return as a Season Regular

Michael Huisman recently cast as Daario Naharis, has signed to be returning as

Michael Huismana regular actor in the upcoming seasons  of A Game of Thrones. The entertainment blog, TV Line has been informed that the Game of thrones producers have signed him on for Season 5 and beyond. His acting role will be raised from an actor to a season regular

This is good news because, as his character has already been recast once, nailing him down for the next two or more seasons will help prevent recasts occurring later on in the shows life.

Michael Huisman has acted in many TV series before such as “Nashville” and “Treme”. He is also acting in an upcoming movie called “American Dream”
